…Baby One More Time

IMG_1380

Where were you in 1998? I was in 6th grade sporting a mouth full of metal, a head-to-toe catholic school girl uniform + jamming to Britney Spear’s mega hit “…Baby One More Time.” I ask this question because where we took this first shot is reminiscent of the hallways where Ms. Spear’s danced + pranced to the mega hit.
Now let’s talk joggers. Are joggers the new skinny jeans? They are everywhere this season + popping up on everyone! I normally save the sweats for walking my dog, but these sassy quilted joggers from John Elliott + Co are simply irresistible + blog worthy in my book.

The Moo Moo Movement

IMG_1333
Why do moo moos have such a bad rap? I personally think they a perfect, but according to Urban Dictionary a Moo Moo is: A rectangular cloth with crude stitching worn by a morbidly obese persons. Well I say screw Urban Dictionary + anyone who thinks that this metallic plaid moo moo is anything but fabulous!
I nearly died when I spotted this gem at the Treasure Island Flea Market this past weekend. The Fabulous Nobody vintage booth was filled with everything from vintage moo moos to roller skates to a taxi cab driver hat. I walked away with one moo moo + Ash walked away with two killer dresses. I highly recommend checking out her curated collection of vintage gems here on Etsy + rocking a moo moo ASAP!

Treasure Hunting + Exploring

IMG_1252I’ve lived in the city of San Francisco for over six years, however I have only been to Treasure Island twice! There is no excuse for this + after this past weekends adventure exploring the island I have a very strong feeling the number of visits under my belt will grow. The reason for this weekends visit was due to the Treasure Island Flea Market. The last weekend of every month the island hosts over 400 local vendors selling antiques, vintage collections, up-cycled items, furniture + fashion.

I managed to walk away with a couple of flea market finds (on the blog soon), but I spent the majority of the day behind my camera lens taking in the eye-catching scenery. The breathtaking views of the bridge + the city skyline initially drew me in, but the history of the island and its abandoned structures left me wanting to spend an entire week exploring!

Distressed

IMG_1208

Thanks to Pinterest, YouTube + DLo I am now a DIY master. I’ve got a treasure chest filled with tools + I am ready to get crafty. My latest creation is destructed skinny jeans inspired by Valentino’s leather camouflage collection.IMG_0905

Last weekends DIY embellishment class at Saks Fifth Avenue was a blast. Fellow SF Bloggers + Saks guests joined me to bedazzle + stud their denim. This weekend I will be teaching a denim distressing tutorial + sharing my secrets on how to create the ‘Valentino‘ distressed look from above.

SaksContemporaryMonthF14 (1)Join me Saturday 9/27 from 2pm-5pm on the 5th floor for a denim distressing tutorial, mini makeovers from Laura Mercier (home of the BEST tinted moisturizer) + a live DJ.

See you On Five!

Cardio Shopping

IMG_0923If retail is my therapy, then it is also my cardio! Last weekend I decided to put on my running shoes + workout gear and walk to Bay Area fashionista mecca, Jeremy’s. It may only be a little over a mile from my house, but I got a workout! Two floors of designer deals can make a girl sweat!
I set a budget for this ‘workout’ + walked out of Jeremy’s with a bag of loot, including these Stella McCartney printed silk joggers (for less than $100).
