Treasure Hunting + Exploring

IMG_1252I’ve lived in the city of San Francisco for over six years, however I have only been to Treasure Island twice! There is no excuse for this + after this past weekends adventure exploring the island I have a very strong feeling the number of visits under my belt will grow. The reason for this weekends visit was due to the Treasure Island Flea Market. The last weekend of every month the island hosts over 400 local vendors selling antiques, vintage collections, up-cycled items, furniture + fashion.

I managed to walk away with a couple of flea market finds (on the blog soon), but I spent the majority of the day behind my camera lens taking in the eye-catching scenery. The breathtaking views of the bridge + the city skyline initially drew me in, but the history of the island and its abandoned structures left me wanting to spend an entire week exploring!

  1. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go to this flea market, I almost got my husband to take me too! Maybe I’ll get you see there next time. Can’t wait to see what you get your hands on.

  2. It’s so funny how we always take the scenery in our cities for granted. Whenever family visits is usually when I end up visiting those places that are so amazing but I just never “got around to doing”. PS Gimme that hat right now… again!
