PANAME

IMG_2224Put on a Panama hat and take me back to Paname. Apparently Paris earned this nickname at the begining of the 20th century due to the number of Parisians rocking Panama hats. Today Parisians refer to Paris as Paname when they refer to the city as an exotic place…so for me this would be everyday!

This look is from one of my last days in Paris. I had purchased this top at Claudie Pierlot (the sister company of Maje + Sandro) the day before and knew it would be the perfect piece to pair with these Gap tuxedo khakis.

Jardin des Tuileries

The tuileries serve as a post fashion show safe haven for the fashionistas of Paris. They are a place far far away from the screaming fashion show photographers, bright lights and chaos of fashion week. I found the tuileries to be the ideal place to switch my shoes from heels to flats + people watch!

A Day in Le Marais

IMG_1141Le marsis is one of my absolute favorite neighborhoods in Paris. Spreading across the 3rd and 4th arrondissements on the right bank it is filled with shops, restaurants and several historic buildings. However, since my last visit to le marais, there has been a bit of a change. You literally can not turn a corner without finding parisian mega brand stores like Sandro or The Kooples! A lot of the big brands have moved in to this very hip neighborhood, but it still has its charm and some of my favorite places to shop in Paris!

For this look comfort was key. The weather was quite chilly when we first arrived, so I dressed in layers (my speciality). I just scored this peplum tank from Gap and found it on heavy rotation throughout the trip. It is the perfect piece for layering under a crop top or sweater and worked perfectly with this itchy cropped sweater! I was also dying to break out this Kenzo evil eye jacket. I purchased it just for the trip and knew it would be the perfect piece for le marais!

We’ve Arrived [PFW 2014]

IMG_0971After a some major travel drama-Think excess baggage fees ($900), delays and not one but two air marshal encounters we finally made it to Paris! Despite some major jet lag we made it to our first show and showroom presentations. I started the trip in head to toe black, my chanel fanny pack and some major white hair.

A Few of My Favorite Things: Americana Style

IMG_0856There is nothing more classic then simple clean americana style. I wish I could say this outfit is 100% American designed, but I had to throw in the Zara checked coat and Prada shoes to perfect the look-so we do have a bit of a european influence as well. I just snagged this Gap washed out denim jacket, and let me tell you we are in love. The jacket is the perfect shade of blue for spring into summer and the fit is flawless. Be prepared to see this jacket all the time!
