Sunday brunch is one of my favorite weekend activities, especially when it involves bottomless mimosas, a rooftop deck + the summer sun (in February) in San Francisco.
Yesterday I indulged in all the mimosas + a little bit of football while sporting this major dress from my friends at Tobi. Excuse my very white legs, but I couldn’t resist the chance to wear a dress over the very RARE sunny weekend. This dress also has the perfect touch of sass with a hi-lo hem + dramatic sleeve details. Paired with my trusty Frye boots + Goorin Bros. hat I was ready for a day of football commercials, a halftime show + mimosas!
Last year I took a little inspiration from Bruno Mars SuperBowl style + recreated my own look. Now, which Katy Perry look should I style from this years halftime show?
Last week Allen + I ventured out of the city and down south to check out Bonobos’ first Guideshop in San Jose. We left the city around 11am + made it to San Jose in record time! The killer weather in San Jose (why is it always warmer there??) set the tone for what ended up being an oh-so fabulous day of shopping, lunching + catching up with old friends in the South Bay.
So…we drove all the way to San Jose for a Guideshop?!? For those of you who are not familiar a Guideshop is: a one-of-a-kind brick and mortar experience from Bonobos. They are renowned for great fitting clothes and excellent customer service, with a personal and hassle-free shopping experience.
And the Guideshop experience goes a little something like this:
· Make an appointment for a one-on-one fitting with a Bonobos Guide at www.bonobos.com/guideshop; walk-in appointments are also welcome
· Once you’re fit, check out at Bonobos.com either during your Guideshop appointment, with the help of a Guide, or place your order at home later
· Shipping is free and items are delivered to your doorstep in 1-5 days
The fabulous team at Bonobos set Allen and I up with the ‘Master’ Guide. He took us through all of the fits + styles and almost all of the Bonobos merchandise. This included everything from tailored suits, dress shirts, blazers, casual shirts, denim and chinos. Our Guide provided us with the service of a fit expert and style advisor in a relaxed manner with ZERO stress. Once Allen decided on a fit (washed chinos in slim straight), Allen was able to place an order through the Guide + by the end of the week his chinos were in his closet!
Check out Allen’s killer style below, featuring his brand new Bonobos chinos!
All that shopping for Allen left me feeling left out + drove me to take a little inspiration from the beautiful menswear in the Bonobos Guideshop. After a quick fitting with our ‘Master’ Guide I ended up with an XS casual men’s woven. Like Allen’s chinos my woven was at my door by the end of the week + was the perfect piece to style with my new blonde weave!

Blazer: Cameo, The Wire Blazer (sold out). Shop similar here.
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending the day at ModaVive HQ. For those of you that are not familiar with ModaVive, it is a platform that allows individuals and groups to clean out their closets and raise funds for worthy causes without common roadblocks such as upfront costs, significant volunteer efforts or having to ask donors for money.
This was not my first visit to ModaVive HQ, if you follow me on instagram you may remember the AMAZING Oscar de la Renta coat I scored at their warehouse sale a couple of months ago. It has since become a closet staple + I just styled it during my latest trip to LA here.
For my first look I could not wait to style this killer mod Stella McCartney skirt set. The boxy cut, oversized front pockets + above-knee length bring distinct retro appeal and this set is a MAJOR steal at just $200 vs. $1,500 retail!
For my second look I found this MAJOR Moschino suit deep on the racks of the warehouse. I am a huge fan of Moschino, especially vintage and was determined to get his bad boy on (despite it barely making it over my hips).
The allover text and flower pattern made styling this piece simple. I left on my white tank from earlier in the day, threw in a couple Alexis Bittar statement rings + a basic pump to finish off the look. These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago, so my blue hair also provided a POP of color!
For more on my day with ModaVive check out my interview here + stay tuned for an exclusive KatWalkSF curated ModaVive boutique coming soon!
Let’s just take a minute + talk about these shoes. I have been eyeing them since last Spring + it wasn’t until they went on sale plus an extra 40% off that I was able to snag them! They are from the the Sophia Webster for J. Crew collection-that did NOT disappoint. The collection features sky-high silhouettes in bright colors + playful prints and according to J. Crew the collection is “the stuff shoe fairy tales are made of.”
Yes, they are that fabulous + I am obsessed…so all the shoe shots made the final cut!
And they pair perfectly with my vintage Louis backpack (another Poshmark score).
What I Wore:
Jacket: Marine Layer c/o (old). Shop this similar version from Marine Layer here.
Ah yes! My hair is still an interesting shade of blue, but we are at the final countdown! Just four more days until I go back to blonde + will hopefully look and feel normal! The blue hair journey has been long, not fun + has taught me to never mess with my hair again! Come Thursday I will have a normal shade of blonde hair + I promise to NEVER EVER dye my hair an unnatural color again!
In other news, my sassy hair color has forced me to stick to neutral colors when styling a look (to avoid looking like a clown). This has left me with maybe 25% of my closet to work with, so I was oh-so pleased to have the opportunity to style this sweater thanks to Callina. Not only is this sweater the perfect shade of charcoal grey (to offset the weirdo color of my hair) it also made of 100% baby alpaca organic fibers + feels like pure luxury. The Callina story is strong + they run their business + design production with integrity, so I am a fan. Check out their 1st collection here + take advantage of a MAJOR 50% off discount with the code: katwalk50.
