You Need These Jeans

Uniqlo has been a wardrobe staple destination for me since they set up shop on Powell Street in San Francisco’s Union Square. The rainbow staircase and endless selection of t-shirts and leggings immediately gave Uniqlo the key to my heart.

Now let’s talk jeans! Denim after 30 is not cute and is 100% not fun. In fact, the size of my hips these days has lead to me to just be thankful for the moment I actually get jeans past my hips. So when Uniqlo offered to send me a pair of jeans I was open to it…but skeptical. When I saw the size of the jeans they sent me I nearly passed out. My weight has been yoyoing professionally since I had mono in the fall and I feel like I just can’t get to where I want to be and stay there (that could also be due to the fact that I 100% cheated on the Whole 30 diet – twice). So when I got these Uniqlo jeans past my hips and all the way on I wanted to cry – but instead I text 20 of my closest friends to celebrate. The fabric blend of 79% Cotton, 10% Rayon, 7% Polyester, 4% Spandex does magical things to the lower half of my body. These amazingly flattering ultra-stretch jeans feature a cut-off design and a stretch fabric that moves with you. The flattering slimming, tightening effect of these jeans leads me to tell you to RUN to the closest Uniqlo store or snag them online here.

The Treat Yo Self Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Beauty Blogger, Ralph Lauren, Bite Beauty, Chanel, Fragrance, Perfume, Valetine's Day, Valentine's Day Gift, KatWalkSF, San Francisco Blogger

What do bloggers do right before a major holiday?

They put all their stuff on the ground + take photos of it!

Am I right or am I right?

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and it is time to ‘Treat Yo Self.’

So I put all treasures on the ground + decided to share them with you!

Before we dive into the world of delightful treasures on the ground, let’s talk about another personal gem that adds a touch of individuality to any outfit: the custom necklace. A necklace with name holds the power to make a fashion statement that is uniquely yours. Whether it’s your own name elegantly displayed or a loved one’s name that holds a special place in your heart, this personalized accessory becomes an extension of your identity. The intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail make each necklace with a name a truly cherished piece, allowing you to carry the essence of those dear to you wherever you go. So now, let’s continue our journey through these captivating treasures that are sure to make your heart skip a beat.

Starting off with the Ralph Lauren, Romance Trilogy Coffret. This set is perfect for the single lady on the go. Snag three of your favorite date night clutches, put one fragrance in each bag + you are ready to tackle date night. I don’t know about you but date night has been a struggle for me lately. Can I have one solid Tinder date? The bad Tinder date stories can go on and on and on, that’s why I got a vibrator with remote to entertain myself…Anyways! Back to the fragrances, the great thing about this set is that each scent evokes a different emotion. Fragrance #1 Romance has a sensual blend of velvety woods and extravagant florals, Fragrance #2 Midnight Romance’s captivating mix of pink peony and black vanilla, and Fragrance #3 Tender Romance’s delicate notes of white magnolia and soft cashmere. At 1 0z.a piece these fragrances are purse ready and will HOPEFULLY lead you to the perfect romantic date!

Now let’s up the ante + talk Chanel.  If you are really going to “Treat Yo Self” then you are going to do it with Chanel. I’ve been single for far too long and I needed a little red Chanel coin purse in my life. I love the color, the shape, and the size. I love looking at it in my bag and frankly, I deserved it!

Not a fan of fragrance or Chanel?

I’ve got something for you too! The crew over at Cameron Hughes Wine teamed up with Christopher Elbow Chocolate to put together the ultimate “Treat Yo Self” gift set for all my foodies out there. Starting 1/31 Cameron Hughes is offering a 9-piece truffle box from Christopher Elbow in a sampler pack for Valentine’s Day. The gift packs will be:

– 2 bottles of 411 Moscato and 9 piece truffles ($51)
– 2 bottles of 606 Cab and 9 piece truffles ($83)
– 2 bottles of Genet Champagne Esprit and 9 piece truffles ($83)

And if you decide to go for the red Chanel I have some ideas:

Winter White

Winter White - KatWalkSF

Is this the most practical trend in the world?

Nope.

But the layering of shades of winter white are far too appealing and cozy to avoid for fear of getting dirty. There are no rules with winter white (forget the white after Labor Day rule – PLEASE). The shades do not need to match. Mix rich fabrics with texture and fringe, throw on a glittery heel and you are good-to-go.

Put A Turtleneck Under Everything

& Other Stories - A-Line Cotton Dress

Turtlenecks are a winter staple that no one should bear the season without, and I am going to prove to you exactly why. Since looking stylish while managing the cold temperatures is rather challenging (so many layers!), I’ve found that turtlenecks of all shapes and sizes can be our best friend.

For this look, I took one of my favorite (super slim) turtlenecks from Amour Vert + layered it under this & Other Stories a-line dress. Since this knit turtleneck is fine enough, the warm-weather top makes an absolute perfect layering piece to add warmth to a once summery look.

LUV.IT – The Latest Shopping App + A Few Of My Favorite Things

Genuine People - Long Bomber

I recently discovered a new fashion app Luv.It AND it has been fulfilling all of my late night iPhone shopping needs. Luv.it is an app that allows you to search for products, create a style network, shop + discover trending brands, AND collect cash back on every purchase. It’s really quite satisfying to browse all of the items they have on the app…late night…when I should be sleeping! A ton of the of the designers on the app are emerging + delivering some kickass products.

LuvIt has nearly 70 brands available in the app and is adding more every week. Some of my favorites are Marrin Costello (duh), Genuine People and Eleven Paris. One of the best parts about the app is that it is so easy to use, clear + beautiful. The check out is so easy too– you literally just slide a button (like the motion you do to power off an iPhone) and then you’re all set! Shipping varies depending on the designer, but the entire process is oh-so-easy and satisfying.

Gucci - Leather Soho Bag

Genuine People - Long Bomber

Now let’s take a minute to talk about what I scored on Luv.It: This AMAZING long bomber jacket from Genuine People. The crew over at Genuine People captures emerging trends, fuse them with urban edge + attitude, and present them in meticulously curated collections. Light, clean lines cut with sharp sophistication. Bold, edgy flair tempered by the understated feminine AND I am obsessed AND grateful for the Luv.It app for introducing me to this KILLER brand.

I paired the long bomber jacket with the go-to Athleta tights (see my entire post dedicated to my love to them here) and my Superga sneakers from our local Superga SF store AND voila! You’ve got yourself a few of my favorite things and a super chic (yet comfy) outfit.
