Spring BREAK: Spring Style with Anthropologie

I think we can all agree that we need a little BREAK from the winter weather. After just a couple days in the snow and freezing rain in NYC, I know that I am California dreaming and oh-so-ready to pack up the furs and break out my spring wardrobe.

Even though we are not quite ready for spring fashion, I partnered with my local Anthropologie store in San Francisco to style some spring looks and give us a little something to look forward to. Of all the looks I styled this one is by far my favorite – I even snagged the pants on my own. The pull on styling and front slits make them the perfect pant for lounging around the house, a beach day or a casual brunch with my girls. Off-the-shoulder tops are making an appearance for spring again and I am not mad at it. No matter how much my weight fluctuates I somehow always manage to keep it off my shoulders, making off-the-shoulder tops a staple in my wardrobe.

Tuesday Shoesday: Put A Pearl On Your Foot – The Topshop Hailey Velvet Pearl Sliders

First things first let me take a minute and disclose that YES, I do have webbed toes. In fact a couple of years ago someone called out my webbed toes on Instagram (in a not so nice way) and it motivated me to start using the hashtag #WebbedToes4Lyfe. I love my toes! They make me ME and I just happen to be a great swimmer thanks to them!

Now that we’ve got that out of the way – Let’s talk about PEARLS. Pearls are a timeless symbol of elegance, grace, and femininity: and they are really everywhere. They’re on blouses, skirts, dresses, headbands and bags, and even, actually especially, on shoes.

While the pearls are 100% faux the ladylike vibes are REAL and I am 100% committed to this trend. The slider sandal (above) gets an unexpected girlie twist with this unique pink pair from Topshop. The velvet strap and pearl beaded detailing give them a luxe finish AND I can not wait to style them this Spring and into Summer!

There are also some AMAZING backdrops in SoCal, especially in Venice. SO I took to the streets of Venice for a little street style shoot with my girl Krista of The Hundred Blog‘s photographer. For this look, I wanted to highlight spring style and partnered with ICI MAINTENANT to highlight their stunning collections of skirts.

Does a very LOUD 30-year-old lady need to be wearing a massive Pharell hat, a lace-up dress WITH bell sleeves AND OTK boots?

This outfit is a one man trend report for 2016. But, lucky for me a lot of these trends can easily carry over to 2017 – just not ALL AT ONCE.

I think we are going to see less of the lace-up details in 2017, but the statement sleeves are here to stay and I’m good with that. I can’t get enough of the bell sleeve trend – it just can make eating very tricky!

OTK boots are here to stay. I don’t care what anyone says. I LOVE these boots (and they are now on MEGA sale). The stacked heel and rich redwood color make these a timeless piece in my closet and I will be rocking these bad boys into 2017.

But this post has forced me to ask myself:

Am I still cool?

Can I still pull off all of these trends?

…or maybe just not ALL at once.
