Is wearing the same color from head-to-toe easy?

Nope.

Does it look good?

Yes.

Does it require shapewear?

Sometimes.

In my case YES.

WHY ITEM m6?

I’ve tried ALL the awful shapewear.

AND I am 100% guilty of taking off my shapewear in the middle of a wedding. You know that awful feeling when you are attempting to sit in your shapewear and you realize that you would rather die than continue to try and look skinny while trying to eat a nasty dinner salad at a wedding…we’ve all been there.

Well, I’ve found a piece of shapewear that doesn’t make you wish that you were never born. AND the secret is compression.  Today is all about stars. I love that even a lot of the most luxurious designers (I’m looking at you, Gucci + Saint Laurent), are playing around with fun patches and basic shapes like stars and hearts and all kinds of embroidery. When I first saw other people wearing stars, I honestly didn’t see myself joining in… But the trend has grown on me a lot. Check out my first star post here.

Retailers across the board are stocking star prints and star-adorned items in variations unthinkable. Whether you choose to wear your galaxy of stars out and about or want to simply pin them away on your favorite Pinterest boards, I can guarantee the outcome will be a magical one.

Why does a leather jacket instantly make everything look cool?

Even if in this case the leather jacket is just a ‘leather look’ aka FAUX leather jacket. Who knew that you could look this cool for under $100? Thanks, ASOS!

For this look, I wore the dress with the belt around the smallest part of my waist instead of tied around my neck in part one. Cinching my waist always accentuates my curves and leaves me feeling fab. Paired with the faux leather jacket from ASOS, velvet booties and a vintage Chanel bag this look exudes the ultimate ladies who lunch (downtown edition) look.

Hana Tajima x Uniqlo: The Flared Dress Two Ways // Part One

I love a caftan for so many reasons. The number one being that it perfectly conceals my ‘winter body’ without making me look like I threw on a mumu. The flared full-length design of this dress makes for the perfect light, feminine frock. Throw in a bell sleeve for a subtle feminine touch, an under $40 price tag and I was sold.

I am always attracted to mindless fashion. No fancy underwear (insert the oh-so-awful spanx biker shorts moment…you know what I’m talking about) and a regular everyday normal bra make the recipe for the perfect dress. I love this dress so much that this is actually part 1 of 2 ways I styled it. For this look, I took the belt off and tied it around my neck as a ‘Pussy Bow.’ Paired with a simple mule and cat eye sunglasses this look was easy + effortless. I could go anywhere from a lunch with the girls to a work meeting to happy hour.

This dress is also a part of Uniqlo’s popular series from Muslim fashion designer Hana Tajima. In 2015, the Japanese retailer Uniqlo decided to team with British-Japanese Muslim fashion designer Hana Tajima on a collection of essential items inspired by Tajima’s personal style. The line debuted in Southeast Asia and was filled with Tajima’s streamlined dresses, breezy culottes, and light tunics. Now the collection is in the US and I could not be a bigger fan.
