I’m pretty sure that the answer to this is YES!

Always YES!!

Allow me to introduce you to Mon Purse. Founded in early 2014 by Lana Hopkins, CEO (and badass #GIRLBOSS + nice girl) – Mon Purse is an Australian based ‘design-your-own’ handbag and leather accessories brand that creates beautiful custom products, using the highest quality European leather. The company was born out of Hopkins’ inability to find the kind of handbag quality and design to satisfy her. She saw an opportunity to create a disruptive model to provide fully customizable leather handbags that target the affordable luxury handbag market. Using a state of the art 3D online bag builder, customers are able to select from over 10 billion different variations including leather color, texture, interior linings and premium hardware to design their dream bag or simply add a personal touch with monogramming and extra customization options.

Design Your Own ‘TOTE BAG’?

This is the first bag I 100% designed from start to finish with Mon Purse’s 6 step process.

Step 1: Select a model – I went with the Tote Bag. This is the perfect work bag aka it is laptop friendly.

Step 2: Choose a leather – I went with the Animal Hair on the body with a grainy white leather shoulder strap and grainy white leather top handles.

Step 3: Select a lining – I went with orange suede.

Step 4: Select your metal detail color – I went with gold.

Step 5: Monogram – Always YES

Step 6: Finalise – Check

This grainy leather envelope clutch with suede lining caught my eye at the Mon Purse Gallery pop-up shop in our San Francisco Bloomingdale’s. This stunning clutch boasts a sophisticated envelope design. You can personalize the clutch with your monogram in gold, silver, gunmetal, rose gold or blind emboss. I had my KatWalkSF logo hand painted on at the launch of the pop-up shop and could not be MORE pleased with how it turned out! I mean how did someone paint that by HAND!?!

I’ve shared my love and appreciation for local San Francisco brand, Amour Vert more than once here – and although I may be late to sharing this amazing initiative (Earth Day was April 22), I felt like this was blog worthy!

So…

If you didn’t already know, with every Amour Vert purchase of a tee, they will plant a tree in North America with their partner American Forest®  and they have already planted more than 130,000 trees. And for the third Earth day in a row, Amour Vert has launched a plant a tree campaign raising awareness about the danger of deforestation and the importance of reforestation. Reforestation projects plant trees in forests damaged or destroyed by fires, farm use, or urban use. They help provide wildlife and flora with a better habitat, as well as create stability for root systems and protect from soil erosion. With your help, they have planted over 135,000 trees in North America with their partner, American Forest®.

Now I know I am a little late to the game here…but I posted my #PlantATreeAV photo (yesterday) and still wanted to share this amazing campaign with you.

My vote is YES!

There is something insanely chic + sexy about the mesh dress trend and I am ALL about it. I snagged this dress in London at the massive Topshop store on Oxford Street. This is nothing like your average Topshop. It is more or less like a massive department store featuring some the latest up and coming designers from the United Kingdom (like the designer of this dress). It is a must when you are in London!

Now, back to this dress. I can’t find the exact style online, but I linked a couple similar styles below.

And what I love most about this dress and this trend is the ability to style it so many different ways. You can wear a simple slip underneath it for a dressier look or style it with a tank and jeans like it did here. I even played around with the hem by securing part of the dress with a brooch and creating a faux high/low hem.

What I Ate: Easter Ham with Farmer John

Nothing says Easter like ham, right?

So I teamed up with Farmer John to create the ultimate holiday ham..and by teamed up I mean I begged Michael of My L.A. Chef to make me a ham…because we all know that cooking is not on my resume.

So I present to you Chef Michael’s Easter Ham with an Orange Balsamic Glaze + Fresh Rosemary:

Ingredients:
-Juice + zest of 2 Valencia Oranges (any orange will do)
-2/3 of a cup of Balsamic Vinegar
-1/8 tsp Kosher Salt
-1/8 tsp Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
-1 Fresh Sprig of Rosemary (about 2” in length)
-1 tsp sugar or honey

Method:
-Mix all ingredients together in a small saucepan over medium to medium-low heat.
-Bring to a simmer and let reduce, stirring occasionally until the mixture becomes slightly thickened and syrup like (it will thicken more as it cools).
-Once thickened, generously brush the Farmer John Ham with the glaze and cook the ham per the instructions on the package. Baste the ham with the glaze every 20 minutes until a nice caramelized crust is formed.
-Use any leftover glaze to pour over ham just before serving.

Although I didn’t really participate in the preparation of this ham – I did observe the preparation + I 100% ate it.

This recipe is easy + delicious.
