We all know that I love a good party, but I adore a Posh Party! This week my favorite app, Poshmark hosted a live party from San Francisco. Every night at 7 pm I jump into the app from the comfort of my bed and attend a virtual Posh Party, so it was a major treat to party with some of my favorite gals from the app….in person!
The theme for the party was, “Casual Chic” and I spent half of my day trying to figure out just what that means! Lucky for me I stopped by H&M earlier in the day + snagged this smoking jacket on mega sale!
What do you think? Do I look casual chic or like Hugh Hefner with a wig?
And don’t forget to shop my Poshmark closet at @kathleenmensign! I just added a bunch of major designer finds!
What I Wore:
Jacket: H&M, Studio Spring 2015 Collection (sold out). Love these two options here + here.
Brunch at Pinterest is always a good idea! However, as appetizing as bacon on a stick it is NEVER a good idea!
Yesterday I was invited to Pinterest HQ. I really had no idea why + honestly just wanted to check out their digs. Long story short, they did not disappoint! Pinterest HQ was everything you dreamed of and more! On top of that they served up a buffet of all the Pinterest recipes you are too afraid to make, but like to look at and announced shop-able pins! Hello, “buy” button!
Dressing for this event was a challenge for me. I even phoned a friend.
I went with a few basics, threw in a new pair of Gap ‘girlfriend’ jeans + these MAJOR Prada sunnies that I just scored at Saks Off 5th!
What do you think? Do I look pinworthy?
What I Wore:
Jacket: Nasty Gal, Rain or Shine Draped Jacked (sold out)
Hmmm…attending all the events, bouncing around San Francisco and taking pictures of my shoes!
#SHOEFIE
Yep, I am the idiot pushing her dog out of the way + taking 10,000 pictures of her shoes on the corner of Francisco and Stockton. But when the shoes are this good, they deserve a picture!
Right: Adidas x Jeremy Scott, JS Slim via Poshmark
Last week I attended a dinner at Marlowe for, Rail [814]. Not only was it a major treat to dine at the new Marlowe location, it was also fantastic to dine with fellow fashionistas and learn about the new fashion incubator for emerging designers! The team at Rail [814] was kind enough to gift me this choker by up and coming designer, Diana Garcia. Now, this isn’t your average choker. It was inspired by the pamera trees in the Amazon jungle. The small arrows on the choker represent power and strength.
The Saks Off 5th Avenue store opened last week in San Francisco on Market Street. The store is filled with ALL the designer finds at a MAJOR steal. I snagged two pairs of designer sunglasses that day at almost 70% off retail! Get there ASAP!
A day at the spa is always a good idea. Especially when the spa provides fantastic treatments + lunch! SenSpa is located in the Presidio (who knew?) and just introduced the infrared sauna treatment to their full spa selection. After hitting up all the spa amenities, I popped into a personal mini sauna and took in a mini light show. The infrared sauna treatment has a slew of benefits: detoxification, pain relief, relaxation and weight loss, to name a few. I walked out of the sauna feeling like a million bucks and THEN walked straight over to the cafe and enjoyed a salad from The Plant. Score!
Try before you buy…from the comfort of your own home! This is Lyon + Post. Last week my box arrived. I tried on the 4 pieces in my apartment, with my mirror and my accessories. It was so easy and stress-free! The white skirt I wore to the Saks opening was from Lyon+ Post and it was a major hit! I can’t wait to give this service a try again #FarewellFittingrooms!
How often do you attempt to get ready for the day + find that you have NOTHING to wear?
This is a constant issue for me (despite the fact that my closet is bursting at the seams). With my crazy schedule, I have to get ready in a snap + have little to no time to shop. I recently gave Lyon + Post a shot and it was love at first site! I choose 4 items from their amazing site (hello ALL the new Australian designers) and in a couple of days I had 4 KILLER pieces to try on from the comfort of my own home. I decided to go with this adorable Greylin skirt from the Lyon + Post box! The skirt is a welcomed addition to my closet and I am sure I will continue to style it over the summer!
San Francisco just got a Saks Off 5th Avenue store (so I needed a new look)! The store’s grand opening was this week + it is filled with some MAJOR designer finds. I walked out with all the sunglasses (thanks to Saks) and could not believe the selection! I am talking Céline, Prada + Balmain! If you are in the bay area this store is a must when you are in Union Square!
RIP Piperlime + thanks for the booties! I scored these booties on MAJOR sale right before Piperlime closed their doors! They are incredibly comfortable and unfortunately nowhere to be found on the internet now!
Are shoulder pads ok to wear? That is the question.
I snagged this Isabel Marant jacket during a Barneys Warehouse sale blackout without even realizing that it came with ‘a very strong shoulder.’ I have played around with it over the past couple of weeks (thanks to their FINAL SALE return policy) and can’t decide if I look ridiculous or not!
Some people also say that shoulder pads gave women a greater sense of confidence because they were portrayed as strong because shoulder pads gave the illusion of bigger, stronger shoulders; is that a true reason?
So, what do you think? Do I look stronger, fashionable or rediculous?
