Are shoulder pads ok to wear? That is the question.

I snagged this Isabel Marant jacket during a Barneys Warehouse sale blackout without even realizing that it came with ‘a very strong shoulder.’ I have played around with it over the past couple of weeks (thanks to their FINAL SALE return policy) and can’t decide if I look ridiculous or not!

Some people also say that shoulder pads gave women a greater sense of confidence because they were portrayed as strong because shoulder pads gave the illusion of bigger, stronger shoulders; is that a true reason?

So, what do you think? Do I look stronger, fashionable or rediculous?

What To Wear In Wine Country

IMG_3059Almost two weeks in wine country has pretty much made me a wine country style expert. I nailed what to wear for a wine tasting in this post from last week and today I am sporting what every farmer in the Sonoma Valley is wearing…not!

A bolo tie is a must in wine country. It will earn you immediate street cred, especially if it has a steer + especially in Cloverdale.

Les Méchantes H2 HotelAfter almost a week of wine tasting + pool time the Les Méchantes team is ready for a little work! We are popping up at the H2 Hotel 5.16-5.17 and could not be more excited! We’ve got all the caftans + everything a wine country fashionista needs!

The H2 Hotel is also a MAJOR destination in Healdsburg. The lounge features all the missoni couches + the in house restaurant, Spoonbar is TO DIE FOR!

What are you wearing?

A question I ask everyone and secretly wish everyone will ask me.

Last week I attended the annual Cal Trout auction. An event where no one cares about what you wear and everyone cares about saving the fishes.

Thanks to the Saks friends + family sale I scored this splurge worthy dress from french fashionista staple, Sandro. The down-to-there plunge details are fueling my obsession with this daring dress! Guaranteed to turn heads, this olive-hued stunner boasts noir-lace insets, + a flowing silhouette reined in by a tonal, ribbon belt. Paired with my chanel wedges…that I somehow found in my closet I was ready to answer the burning question, “What are you wearing?”
