Jump (suitting) Around the Ritz

There is nothing I love more than styling a good jumpsuit.

(Remember this post, this post and even this post)

I’m not sure if my love stems from the fact that they are easy to pack or just fun to wear…except when you are in a cast and crutches, they are really no fun at all.

But even the risk of falling in the bathroom and being forced to jump everywhere hasn’t stopped me from breaking out the jumpsuit and big bling earrings for a little fire pit fun at the Ritz with my favorite puppy, Benji.IMG_0514

Capella Dreamin’

IMG_0352It has been over a week now since I returned home to San Francisco from the gorgeous Capella Hotel in Ixtapa, Mexico. As I sit here prepping for this weeks reported rain, I can only dream of the fabulous weather in Mexico and my days at the Capella.

IMG_0349We spent our time there enjoying the sun and celebrating Ms. Gena Marie’s upcoming wedding.

These celebrations included:

 A little champs

&

A little tequilla.

IMG_0357And then…things got dark and I flew across the restaurant in the most ridiculous fall of the century.

IMG_1592Next came the ice and the single Prabal Gurung x Target flat sandal.

IMG_1639So, after loosing my balance on my rusty old crutches and sliding across the restaurant, I decided that the only way to rectify the situation was to treat myself to the lobster and the fully loaded baked potato for dinner! I mean oversized crustaceans and carbs seem to always solve my problems so I thought this was the perfect solution!

Unfortunately this wasn’t the solve for my injured ankle and bruised ego, however being carried to room by the hotel staff did prevent me from any further falls (that night).

Dress: Haven’t seen it since that night & can’t remember the brand (?)

I love the retro print on this Trina Turk for Banana Republic dress and after hours baking in the sun (covered in baby oil) I feel like I am clearly rocking a ruby red tan/burn a la Marcia Brady. IMG_1742

Studio 54 at the Beach: When Diane met Andy

DVF has always been a Designer I Love  and when I spotted her 2008 Resort and 2009 pre-Spring swimwear collection at Bloomingdales featuring Andy Warhol’s prints, I nearly lost my mind and maxed out my Bloomies card. This coverup has been a staple in my closet for several years and when it came time to pack for Mexico this was a must.-5

“Andy’s Pop colours and iconic images feel glamorous and right for the beach,” Diane von Furstenberg.
