I had the honor of attending the TELFAR: Fall Winter show “MUSIC” way back in February of 2018. This was maybe my second or third fashion week season in New York and it was a show that I will NEVER forget! The show was a concert instead of a runway show or presentation with Dev Hynes on the piano, Ian Isiah as the bandleader, and Kelela, Oyinda, 070 Shake, and Kelsey Lu on vocals. Wearing leather, silks, and selvage denim in red, creamy white, and indigo, all with Telfar’s signature cut-outs, the musicians sang a soulful rendition of “Grateful” and Clemens himself joined the performers for the last few bars of the song.
TELFAR “NOT FOR YOU — FOR EVERYONE”
Flash forward to today and Telfar’s iconic Shopping Bag is one of the most challenging bags to get your hands on!
Telfar’s Shopping Bag has been dubbed the “Bushwick Birkin” by shoppers who liken its explosive popularity and extreme scarcity to that of the impossible-to-buy Hermes Birkin (often called the rarest bag in the world). It’s also been crowned one of the hottest bags of the year!
Well, I woke up VERY early one morning a couple of weeks ago at the crack of dawn to FINALLY get my hands on a Large Pool Blue Shopping Bag so that I could finally get you the Telfar Bag Review that you need and deserve.
First things first, yes this bag is large and in charge. She is a statement (especially in pool blue), but I love her. She fits everything I need and is the perfect weekend getaway bag. I love the crossbody option (you rarely find it in a bag this large) and the shorter straps are perfect for a heavier load.

Located on the main street, just minutes from Yountville’s best restaurants (find them below), this boutique hotel promises a relaxing wine country retreat and in my opinion is the BEST Yountville hotel. The hotel features 80 casual-chic guest rooms – equipped with fireplaces, flat-screen TVs, four-poster beds, and jetted tubs. The property also offers a full-service spa, a courtyard pool, event spaces, and assorted freebies (Wi-Fi, wine tastings, and loaner bikes among them).
Sitting at the southern end of town, Hotel Yountville enjoys a convenient main-street location and offers on-foot access to many acclaimed restaurants and wineries. Hotel Yountville has some truly incredible features for a boutique property. It boasts a 4,000-square foot spa containing six treatment rooms -> two of the treatment rooms are couples’ suites (that I had the opportunity to experience with the fisherman) with Vichy showers and double hydrotherapy tubs. The heated pool is a MAJOR highlight, edged with loungers and the adjacent bar and restaurant. Other features include a 24-hour front desk with concierge capabilities; dry-cleaning/laundry, twice-daily housekeeping, and basic business services. Freebies are also extensive and include newspapers in the lobby, hotel-wide Wi-Fi, and tastings at partnered wineries throughout the valley.
Dog friendly? Yes
Welcome bottle of wine in the room? Yes
Complimentary breakfast? No (but they did have coffee and tea service in the lobby)
Set on a Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, Napa Valley Lodge has countryside ambiance galore while also being a mere 10-minute walk from the town of Yountville. The 55 rooms here come with private balconies and coffeemakers, and some spaces have fabulous views of the surrounding vineyards. There’s no restaurant on-site, but the hotel can arrange reservations at nearby spots. A tiny gym and breakfast room (don’t skip the free breakfast) are on the property as well, as is a spa that offers facials, body treatments, and massages.
A large fountain and a covered half-circle driveway mark the entrance to the inn. A den-like sitting room is adjacent to the common area, with the requisite comfy couches and fireplace and Napa Valley-related literature. The hotel appears to be geared toward wine-centric tourists, as are most hotels in the area and is popular with couples on Napa Valley getaways. The property is surrounded by hills and vineyards and vine-covered trellises — a luxurious, relaxed atmosphere.
The hotel, located on the outskirts of Yountville, is a 10-minute walk from the downtown area. Across from the property are several high-end restaurants and a gas station with a wine, snack, and magazine store that opens up onto the street. A vineyard separates Napa Valley Lodge from the main thoroughfare that leads to the small city of Calistoga, and there’s a quiet neighborhood on the opposite side of the hotel. The location is convenient to the wineries that lie along Route 29, and it’s also right on Yountville Cross Road, which connects Yountville to the Silverado Trail on the other side of the valley.
Dog friendly? No
Welcome bottle of wine in the room? Yes
Complimentary breakfast? Yes -> FULL champagne buffet breakfast
Raise your hand if your hands have been painfully dry over these past few months!
(now put those dry hands down)
My recent trip to Mexico left me with the worst dry, cracked hands thanks to being covered in hand sanitizer anytime I entered a restaurant, store, museum…anywhere! Dry, cracked hands are a small sacrifice in order to stay safe and healthy in this COVID world, but that doesn’t mean my skin doesn’t deserve some relief. That’s where Nécessaire hand cream enters the chat.
Pre-COVID, hand cream wasn’t really a part of my regular body care routine. If I had a tube lying around then, sure, why not moisturize my hands? But, typically, I’d just massage the remnants of my body lotion into them to get the job done.
The Nécessaire minimalist black-and-white aluminum tube is an upgrade for me aesthetically, and what’s inside of it is oh-so-good. The cream is formulated with a mix of peptides, squalane, omega fatty acids, and vitamins to provide instant relief from tightness and long-lasting hydration. The hand cream stays with me. I’m talking ID, credit card, my favorite hand sanitizer, and hand cream in my bag at ALL TIMES!
The Nécessaire hand cream is thick, but the cream quickly dries down without any greasy residue, so I can go right back to scrolling on my phone or working on my laptop without leaving any greasy fingerprints behind (a major win).
Not to mention, like the brand’s body lotion, the Nécessaire hand cream is fragrance-free, which makes it ideal for anyone like me who has sensitive and/or eczema-prone skin that tends to get irritated by scents.
