This velvet T by Alexander Wang dress has been hiding in my closet for far too long and was begging for me to walk it down the red carpet…or bus stop. I styled this dress with my vintage mink, chanel accessories and Miriam Salat earrings, adding in the perfect amount of shine.

We all know that over the knee boots can be a challenge to style. I mean, no one wants to walk out of the house channeling Julia Roberts a la Pretty Woman. So when styling an OTK boot, it’s best to let the boots make the statement . For this look I choose to start with the Frye ‘Jane’. I love this boot because the heel is city friendly (hello San Francisco hills) and the slate color is neutral enough to wear during the day. I went with basic black foundation pieces, letting the boots take the spotlight and finished off the look with a dark purple brocade jacket.

A great hat is hard to find. Lucky for me there are Goorin Brothers hat shops all over San Francisco. Last week I ventured out to the Goorin Brothers on Haight to visit an old friend and shop for a new hat. I left with this green ‘Good Boy’ fedora with a rainbow of feathers on the side and have worn this hat nearly everyday since!
Now, this is just an outfit sneak peek and a confession of my new love for my fedora! The full head to toe look will come Thursday with another battle of who wore it better with Caroline of Taste BlueBook and to celebrate our, ‘City Chic’ Posh Party Thursday night.

Hair Note: I am obsessed with using a curling rod now that I have short hair. This curling rod is so quick and easy to use (after watching several youtube videos) and leaves my hair with perfect beachy waves.
