Sail Away in San Francisco Style

Who knew that San Francisco had so much style?
(not Danielle Steel)
I love to support the ever growing design + fashion industry in my hood and this look is almost 100% designed in San Francisco. From Banana Republic to Talyor Stitch to Sutro all of these brands have a rich history in San Francisco + some major style.

Festival Style-OysterFest 2014

IMG_4416

Saturday I attended Oysterfest at Golden Gate Park. While there wasn’t a huge selection of oysters at the festival, the festival did offer amazing jams (Edward Sharpe + the Magnetic Zeroes) + solid SF festival style to check out. Yes, I was the girl in the fedora taking paparazzi style pictures of everyone…

San Franciscans take the same approach towards festival fashion as they do towards their everyday street style. Totally carefree and effortlessly cool…right?

Local vendors lined Sharon Meadows, including my personal favorite San Franpsycho.

Festival Shoes

This poor girl was in front of me for the majority of the festival and I could not stop snapping pictures of her hair. This is the ultimate festival hairstyle. Simple with the perfect touch of boho chic. I am pretty sure it is fairly simple to accomplish too (hello Pinterest).

LOFT Girl

IMG_4298

I had the pleasure as serving as one of the hosts at the Santana Row, “Beauty Bash” last Thursday night (with Benji). I had so much fun answering questions at my station at LOFT and styling guests in some of my favorite looks. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many amazing pieces at LOFT, including my look for the night!

Friday Forecast: Fanny Packs

Who knew that one day I would find a fanny pack to be the MOST convenient, yet stylish bag?

I scored my first fanny pack via Poshmark on major sale + have been styling it nonstop since it arrived on my doorstep

(Check it out here, here + here)

A fanny pack is ideal for many situations. It offers a hands free and safe way for you to tote around your goods. Some of my favorite designers are knocking out some major fanny packs these days.

Shop some of my favorites here:

Or throw it back old school a la Carrie Bradshaw with the classic Gucci belt bag.

Either way I predict that a fanny pack should be on everyones Friday Fashion Forecast.

Jump Around

IMG_3860I am probably the only person in the world who thinks this, but I find a jumpsuit to be one of the easiest pieces to style. It is a one stop shop with no need to try to coordinate separates. The only downfall to a jumpsuit is the unfortunate moment when nature calls…but aside from that a jumpsuit is a simple chic piece to style.

For the second time this month I have found myself channeling my inner JLo. Maybe it’s my XL hoop earrings, my curvy booty or my love for jumpsuits but I am pretty sure this look is screaming ‘Jenny from the Block.’ What do you think?
