Uniqlo and LemaireLast Saturday I attended the 8th annual High on the Hog event at EPIC Steak on San Francisco’s oh-so-picturesque waterfront.

I tasted all the Pinot Noir. I ate all the hog (and all the other gourmet eats).

And I asked to pet all the cute puppies there in support of Guide Dogs for the Blind.Purple Hair

This was THE BEST fried chicken sandwich (I know, not HOG) I have ever laid my hands on. Not sure of the details but it came from Epic and it WAS Epic.

I can’t stop rocking denim on denim aka ‘The Canadian Tuxedo.’

However, I’ve apparently taken my current love of denim to ‘Steve Urkel’ waistband heights…

Anyways…I’m loving the denim layers and my (mid-rise) 1969 best girlfriend dip dye jeans. These jeans feature a throwback dip dye detail at the waistband and a relaxed cut. Making them a weekend essential.

I love Instagram for several reasons, but the #1 reason is to discover new brands and engage with other bloggers.

None of these pieces are new to the blog. They are classic, easy pieces in my wardrobe and now staples for my everyday styling. Even if you don’t agree with needing wardrobe staples, I doubt most women would say no to owning a classic black blazer or bucket bag (that holds EVERYTHING). After all, these staples will be the foundation of your wardrobe, anchoring whatever crazy, amazing pieces you find along your fashion journey. In other words, once you tailor this list to your own needs, getting dressed in the morning should be all the easier.

Just make sure they are all clean…
