A visit to the Napa Valley is always a treat for me. It never gets old and is always exciting…

Especially when I get to experience a new tasting room!

Let me introduce you to all things Durant & Booth: a breathtaking tasting room mixed with interesting wines and an amazing team.

The team at Durant & Booth has cultivated lasting friendships with local grape growers and winemakers to offer uncommon, limited-production wines sourced from Napa and Sonoma Valley’s finest appellations and vineyards. While my wine tasting skills are not anything to brag about I did enjoy the wines, especially the Cuvée!

That is probably because it is next to the historic Oakville Grocery!

(also known as the best spot to stop while wine tasting for delicious snacks)

So in between snack time at the Oakville Grocery store, considered the oldest continuously operating grocery store in the State of California…

and looking for the bathroom (on the other side of the building) you can hit up Durant & Booth.

The tasting room’s namesakes, Frederick Durant and Joseph Booth, were Napa Valley pioneers who brought the best of the region to locals and visitors alike. Over 100 years later, that tradition is carried on in Frederick Durant’s former home.

Designed by Howard Backen, the tasting room is straight out of Restoration Hardware mixed with a bit of a quirky side with a lobotomy kit and a bat prepared by a taxidermist hidden in the bookshelves.

When can I move in?

I love every little detail in this gorgeous tasting room.

This Rossi & Rei bag is still on heavy rotation in my wardrobe. It is a wine tasting staple too! I am pretty sure it can comfortably hold four wine bottles in it!

Now, the back patio is the ultimate outdoor space. No detail was missed – including misters for those hot Napa summer afternoons.

Blake (above) looks very calm + relaxed and that is VERY hard for him to do, trust me!

And I enjoyed my first visit so much, that I came back for a second visit! My second tasting experience did not disappoint and I of course decided to pose next to the bar cart on the patio (again).
