[LuckyFABB] Part One

Last Thursday I boarded a flight to LA for my first LuckyFABB conference. I had no idea what I was in for + what the hell I was gonna wear!
IMG_2782There is nothing more relaxing than a day by the pool in Beverly Hills. For this reason, I decided to hop on an early flight from SFO to LAX and enjoy a full day lounging by the pool before the conference festivities.

IMG_2861Once I had soaked up enough of the SoCal sun I decided to unpack. I am not quite sure what I was thinking when I was packing…6 pairs of shoes and 4 bags seemed reasonable at 6am Thursday morning, but I only ended up wearing my powder blue pumps (a 20 euro steal from Paris) and my Alexander Wang ‘Rocco’ throughout the entire trip…but a girl still needs options, right?

Early Friday AM the conference began. Day 1 was filled with gardening advice from Nicole Richie, a ton of sassy girl talk, champagne, more champagne…

And a lot of laughs from these blogger babes!

My day 1 look ended up being heavily influenced by JLo. From my massive hoop earrings, to my crop top and ‘dunk’ accentuating skirt, I inadvertently channeled a whole lot of Jenny from the block!

A Bow + The Bay

IMG_2633

I am obsessed with bows this season, I have even dedicated an entire Pinterest board to ‘The Bow.’ From the Saint Laurent runway to the streets of Paris, bows are making a big statement right now.

I scored this pre-tied bow from ASOS and plan on working it into as many looks as possible! Are you loving bows this season too?

The City of Lights

IMG_1354On this trip in particular the lights of Paris caught my attention. Whether it was a chandelier in a ballroom, the neon lights of a storefront or the oh-so famous eiffel tower light show I loved it all…and could not stop taking pictures of the lights! Here are a few of my favorites:

IMG_1447The lights from the mysterious club next to our house that we could never get into. We literally tried to get into this club every night. Sometimes on the way out + sometimes on our way home. No matter what we were wearing, no matter what time of the day it was, we could NEVER get in!

But I still loved the lights!

The midnight eiffel tower light show + the chandelier from the Salon Impérial

The Hotel Costes is fabulous for oh-so many reasons including this amazing pair of neon lights by Claude Leveque in the Gallery PalaceCostes. According to Levegue,”I was going to use words to express the feelings that can be felt in Paris.” The series of words will be updated every month until July, all written in his godson, Romaric’s handwriting.

Merci Paris!

I miss you already!

A Parisian Roundup

Oh Paris Fashion Week!

What an amazing experience! Now that I am back in SF with a strong wifi signal + a little bit of free time I present to you:

‘A Parasian Roundup’ What I Wore + What I Did

IMG_1094

This look was my attempt at being comfy/chic. I had a whirlwind of an agenda ahead of me with Miriam Salat + Bochic followed by Premiere Classs and lunch at Ralph’s, the Ralph Lauren restaurant (check out Dlo’s recap of Ralph’s here). This look was from one of my first or second days in Paris (before I had a good handle on the metro) so I knew I had a lot of walking ahead of me. Because of that I snuck my comfy/practical chelsea boots underneath my maxi skirt for a comfy/chic look that no one knew about!
What I Wore:
Cape: Forever 21, Refined Cape
Bodysuit: American Apparel, Sleeveless Thong Bodysuit
Skirt: Pim + Larkin via Piperlime, Dramatic Satin Maxi (sold out)
Earrings: Miriam Salat, Long Feather (ivory)
Boots: SUTRO c/o, Cyril Chelsea Boot
Fanny Pack: Chanel via Poshmark
Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim, ‘Pashli’ Medium Spazzolato Leather Satchel

The oh-so famous Zara plaid coat made an appearance on this day for the Maison Rabih Kayrouz show and a quick stop at Tranio. What you don’t see in this picture are my shoes! For this look I did not have my maxi skirt to conceal my flats so I had to make the change from flats to heels in the Tuilleries! I swapped my Valentino rockstud flats for my Valentino red maryjanes. Also missing from this picture is my face seconds before the Maison Rabih Kayrouz show when every photographer in the house was screaming, “RED SHOES MOVE!” Yes, I was the idiot in the front row with my feet in the runway and Yes, my face was then the color of my shoes!
What I Wore:
Coat: Zara, Checked Coat
Dress: H&M, Jersey Dress
Sunglasses: Karen Walker, Betsy
Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim, ‘Pashli’ Medium Spazzolato Leather Satchel

When Fashion Week came to an end, it was time to play tourist! We were free to explore the city and do anything! On this day we literally just walked around our neighborhood without a purpose and happened to stumble upon the Papier Glace exihibit! A must if you are in Paris right now!
What I Wore:
Jacket: Zara, Striped Coat (sold out)
Top: Boohoo, Lucy Crochet Lace Trim Boxy Shirt
Backpack: Louis Vuitton via Poshmark
Bottoms: Zara, Leggings With A Wide Waistband
Shoes: Prada, Vernice Saffiano Oxford
Sunglasses: Karen Walker, Betsy
