INSPIRARE [PART 1]

0-4

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with the Inspirare team for a shoot featuring a collection of dresses designed by emerging designers. To prep for the shoot I started with a VERY early makeup call time, MAJOR support by the one-and-only Evora Baden + a whole lot of tape, pins and spanks. 5 hours later… we shot 4 dresses +everyone survived. Check out the full post by Inspirare here.

This dress was personal favorite + the Inspirare team even let me take this one home. Designed by Alejandra de Coss, an independent designer from Mexico, who uses her knowledge of the feminine body to create garments that are truly a personal experience. Her designs have a unique + feminine style with an aesthetic that can be recognized in every piece.

While prepping for the shoot at the Inspirare office I spotted some killer jewelry by Accent San Francisco. This flame bracelet was a must. The design + texture of this bracelet reminded me of the Claire’s tattoo inspired jewelry I was OBSESSED with in middle school, but so much better.

There is nothing I love more than a glass of cold white wine on a hot summer night. The weather in San Francisco has been absolutely beautiful, so the wine has been flowing + my summer dress wardrobe is in full swing. I recently snagged this Banana Republic dress on mega sale + have managed to style it twice in the past week. It is so simple + chic and even has sassy faux-leather sleeves. This is a great basic that I can easily take into fall styled with tights + boots.

Fashion on the Square

IMG_8664

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the runway fashion show event to wrap up weeklong festivities to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of ‘Fashion on the Square.’
Dressing for fashion shows in San Francisco is always a challenge for me. The unofficial San Francisco dress code is CASUAL…no matter what! Regardless of the event, you are guaranteed to find at least one man in a hoodie, ratty jeans and some sort of athletic shoes. However, on the flip side next to that man in the hoodie you can find a gorgeous woman in a custom made haute couture gown! So, for this event I decided to keep my color palette pretty neutral and rely heavily on my favorite Phillip Lim tuxedo blazer to pull the look together.

The Fashion Allowance

Pashli

I guess I missed the memo that when you quit your job, you also quit shopping! This has been a rude awakening for me + has forced me to get creative. After spending far too much time staring aimlessly at everything in my closet I decided that it was time for a closet cleanse.
Lucky for me I recently discovered that my go to clothing resale shop, Crossroads launched a new initiative that allows for you to sell your clothes by mail. This is a MAJOR win. Anyone who lives in San Francisco knows that lugging your clothes from your closet to a Crossroads is not an easy task. However, ordering a FREE pre-paid shopping bag that is delivered to your house within days is. When my bag arrived I quickly examined my closet for trendy summer styles that I had lost interest in + within minutes the bag was full. I dragged that bad boy down to the mail box for the mailman + patiently waited for my shopping allowance to arrive!
Less than a week later I was ready to shop again. You may have seen on my twitter feed that last week Benji and I hit up (my favorite) Crossroads location on Fillmore. I scoured the ultimate jackpot that day with the dress I am wearing in this post! This dress was brand new with tags and ONLY $28!

Cameo The Label

This dress is by Cameo, one of my favorite Australian designers + the creative minds behind one of my favorite peplum tops, styled herehere. I decided to style this AMAZING dress with a few sneak peek pieces from jewelry favorite, Marrin Costello. I am obsessed with the pieces I had a chance to play with from her new stoned collection + can not wait to see the collection in full.

A Fashion Flashback

Banana Republic Jumpsuit

Yesterday I spent the day in my old hood just down south from the city. A drive by my high school was a scary reminder that my 10 year high school union is quickly approaching. My style in high school was terrifying. After nearly a decade in a Catholic school uniform, I literally lost my mind my freshman year of high school and wore some insanely inappropriate outfits!

Chloe Suede Cuffed Wedge Ankle Boot

10 years later I still find myself pushing boundaries and taking just a hint of style with me from the past. Who remembers the oh-so famous Manolo Blanik Timberland inspired bootie? These boots were made famous by Beyonce + JLo and may or may not have been taped to my wall, next to a collage of Justin Timberlake. Flash forward to present day and I am rocking a very similar bootie. Thanks to the AMAZING Barney’s Warehouse sale. I scored these Chloé boots on MAJOR sale and have a feeling these bad boys will be shoe staple in my closet I will not regret.
