Yesterday I spent the day in my old hood just down south from the city. A drive by my high school was a scary reminder that my 10 year high school union is quickly approaching. My style in high school was terrifying. After nearly a decade in a Catholic school uniform, I literally lost my mind my freshman year of high school and wore some insanely inappropriate outfits!
10 years later I still find myself pushing boundaries and taking just a hint of style with me from the past. Who remembers the oh-so famous Manolo Blanik Timberland inspired bootie? These boots were made famous by Beyonce + JLo and may or may not have been taped to my wall, next to a collage of Justin Timberlake. Flash forward to present day and I am rocking a very similar bootie. Thanks to the AMAZING Barney’s Warehouse sale. I scored these Chloé boots on MAJOR sale and have a feeling these bad boys will be shoe staple in my closet I will not regret.

Last night I attended a ‘School Night’ session with Reward Style. It has been quite a few years since I sat in a classroom, however I am quite sure no classroom is like a Reward Style class room. Filled with Bay Area bloggers, a wine + cheese bar, a jewelry bar and a whole lot of fashion chatter, this classroom was like no other. I didn’t have a ton of time to get ready for this event, so I went with a couple of my closet staples: skinny jeans + nude pumps. I topped it off (literally) with my power peplum top from Australian favorite Cameo and ran out the door!
A lesson in the art of layering jewels by founder + designer of Gorjana, Gorjana Riedel inspired me to add on my new ‘Mila‘ cuff to create my own layered look.

My everyday wardrobe has taken a major turn over the past two weeks. I am finding myself running around the city like a mad woman + doing my best to stay comfortable, yet still look chic. This is not easy. 90% of the time I am dragging Benji along, toting around my camera, laptop + an additional outfit AND running late!
These pictures were snapped right before a shoot. I knew I would be squeezing myself into some fabulous pieces and had to arrive hair + make up ready. I opted for a white button down (hair + make up friendly), work out pants (hush) and these AMAZING shoes from The Blonde Salad. What I love most about these pants is that YES, they are work out pants but they are so much more than that! These bad boys flatten the tummy, lift the rear, reduce the hips + slim the thighs. They are beyond flattering and provided me with the just ego boost I needed before getting in front of the camera.

There is no need for me to insert the oh-so famous Mark Twain quote. We all know, Summer in San Francisco is cold!
The funny thing about the day we snapped these shots however, is that we started in sunny North Beach and by the time we parked in the Marina the weather had gone from calm + sunny to windy + freezing. The unpredictable weather in San Francisco has taught us to always bring a stylish layering piece (to avoid looking like a tourist in the weird hoodies from Fisherman’s Wharf) and to stock up on some fashionable yet warm basics—> Insert Marine Layer.
Green Juice at the beach? Absolutely!
The crew at Project Juice is cranking out some cold-pressed juice that literally knocked my socks off. After quite a few long nights celebrating the 4th + my new job, my body was begging for me to drop the beer + pick up some juice.
