Last night I had the pleasure of attending the runway fashion show event to wrap up weeklong festivities to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of ‘Fashion on the Square.’
Dressing for fashion shows in San Francisco is always a challenge for me. The unofficial San Francisco dress code is CASUAL…no matter what! Regardless of the event, you are guaranteed to find at least one man in a hoodie, ratty jeans and some sort of athletic shoes. However, on the flip side next to that man in the hoodie you can find a gorgeous woman in a custom made haute couture gown! So, for this event I decided to keep my color palette pretty neutral and rely heavily on my favorite Phillip Lim tuxedo blazer to pull the look together.
What I Wore:
Blazer: 3.1 Phillip Lim, Boucle Wool Tuxedo Jacket (old)Bodysuit: Boohoo, Emilia Sleeveless Plunge Neck
Skirt: Forever 21, Floral Embroidered Skirt
Shoes: Maison Martin Margiela x H&M
Bracelets: Alexis Bittar, ‘Lucite’ Skinny Tapered Bangle, Gorjana, Mila Hexagon Cuff + Banana Republic, Knot Cuff (x2)
Ring: Alexis Bittar, Block Ring
Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim, ‘Medium Pashli’ Spazzolato Leather Satchel (sold out).

The shoes are literally to-die-for! They are beyond uncomfortable, but so fun!
Good look! Just enough formal and casual. Good pairing with designer blazer.
Thanks Mom!
OMG you are too much! I love, love, love this look! You have become such a hot ‘corporatey’ woman in the best way ever since you quit your job! I want everything you are wearing here!

Come to SF right this second!
I love that skirt! At first I thought it was by For The Love and Lemons, amazing score! I hear what you are saying about SF…my husband lived there for years and joked about how no one really dressed up, but I think you captured dress up without looking out of place!
I wish it was For Love and Lemons! Thanks so much!
Girl, you are killing this look! Can’t even decide which part of it I like best. Maybe the shoes–those are hot!
