What I Ate: Volta

Volta

Prior to stepping foot into the Architectural Digest worthy space that is Volta my only introduction to Scandinavian food was the food court at Ikea…yikes! But, I love French food quite possibly more than any other cuisine so despite my minimal knowledge of Scandinavian cuisine I walked into Volta with high hopes – in high heels.

The Volta menu pays homage to France and draws from Chef Terje’s Scandinavian heritage, alongside carefully selected wines and beers, classic cocktails and housemade aquavit.

Some of the standout dishes from my dining experience included:

The Skagen: North Atlantic shrimp, dill and horseradish sauce, toasted brioche, whitefish roe and radish.

The Steak Tartare: Shallots, capers, beets, cornichon and a quail egg.

The Duck Terrine: Cherry compote, truffle gastrique and toasts.

The Volta

And…

To kick off summer, Volta has announced their new Happy Hour menu and Bar Snacks menu.

#TreatYoSelf to Happy Hour at the Volta Bar Monday through Friday from 3:00-6:00pm. You can enjoy Volta Bar Snacks, including a selection of $5 bites and two signature burgers.

(only available at the KILLER Volta Bar)
