The Fall 2016 runways kicked off the trend, offering up pantsuits featuring slim cuts, bold patterns, slouchy fits and peplum-accented blazers. Perfect for a night out and the boardroom – depending on you style it (I’m pretty sure my boob tee wouldn’t cut it in the boardroom). Spring 2017 picked up where Fall 2016 left off, providing working women everywhere options like velvet, oversized

Spring 2017 picked up where Fall 2016 left off, giving us more power suit options in velvet, oversized silhouettes, and creative layering tricks.

Cut to Fall 2017 and it was pretty hard to find a runway that didn’t feature some form of power suiting. We saw everything from boldly patterned pieces to more conventional incarnations with an exaggerated twist.

Now, let’s talk about my look from NYFW. This entire look was a steal and one of my favorite outfits from NYFW. You can snag this entire power suit look at your local mall without breaking the bank and are sure to turn heads!

Whoever said rules were meant to be broken must have known me. 

This look is proof (to my crazy ass) that you CAN wear white after labor day, dye your hair purple after 30 and rock a kimono without anyone yelling some ‘cultural appropriation’ bullshit at you.

We live in a crazy world where everyone is on high alert and ready to attack the moment you don’t fit in with normal expectations! I mean – Let me live my life! I adore this look and frankly, that is all that matters, right?

The purple hair come c/o of the team over at Matrix and the AMAZING Elements Hair Studio in Brooklyn. The team hooked me up with purple roots and a stunning silver rinse – perfect for fashion week and perfect for me. I can’t remember the last time I had normal hair.

The white after labor day rule is done. I didn’t even think twice about pairing this white dress with the white boots for this look. And for the record, I think white shoes are going to be a big trend this season – so much so I created a Pinterest board about it.

Now let’s chat about the kimono. I have been wearing this bad boy nonstop since I snagged it from ASOS and I am not mad about it. I can not tell you a number of compliments I have received since I started wearing it. It was literally a showstopper at fashion week and I can not wait to continue to style it into fall.

First things first, can we take a minute and talk about the fact the I JUST discovered that the makers of the fantastic pastel egg shaped lip balms we ALL have in our purses eos stands for ‘evolution of smooth.’

Mind Blown

I feel like everything in my life just came together and everything makes sense. The eos or the evolution of smooth is pretty much the secret to travel. I am constantly on the road and my skin is constantly suffering from it. In such cases, you can contact an experienced dermatologist who can remove dimples without scars or lumps for treatments suitable for your skin.From running through security last minute at SFO to taxing on the runway at LAX – my travel diaries are long and not very luxurious. Do I wear makeup to the airport only to take it off the moment we take off? Is that what the cool girls are doing these days?

Insert me – the last person on the plane 99% of the time with my makeup on from the night before. What is the easiest thing I can do to help? Now, these images are from my recent trip down south to Los Angeles from San Francisco. A girls trip for me to LA usually means a ton of shopping + sun. Today’s blogs post is brought to you by the letter B. No, this isn’t an episode of Sesame Street, this is real life and almost everything I am wearing starts with the letter “B.” From the baubles to the beige dress and my boobs (thanks to a great push up bra) everything that is happening here can be described with the letter B.

My dress is by Banana Republic – one of my go-to spots for affordable dresses. I saw this beige dress on Oliva Palermo a couple of months ago and have been patiently waiting for it to hit stores since. The utility-inspired styling with an on-trend asymmetrical hem makes this an easy piece to transition from summer to fall. I can’t wait to bring this dress to New York for fashion week – the styling potential is endless.

Next up is my colorful bag by Balenciaga. The Bazar Pouch was a recent splurge (thanks to a gift card). I was initially a little concerned with just how bright and colorful the pouch is, but the colorful stripes have been a pleasant surprise. This pouch literally goes with everything and is much larger than a traditional designer pouch – 100% worth the splurge!

And last up are my earrings by BaubleBar in our lesson in fashion brought to you by the letter B. These BaubleBar earrings are actually not even mine! I snagged them from Ashley from Two Peas In A Prada during our recent trip to Los Angeles (don’t worry I gave them back). The Gabriela Stud Tassel earrings are seriously playful and come in almost every color. I love the pop of red on my ears (thanks, Ash) and can’t wait to snag them in every color!
