Nope. This isn’t a dream. I am really standing in front of a beautiful wall of bougainvillea blooms in a floral pajama suit. Yes, my friends. This suit set looks like pajamas feel like pajamas but are actually real life clothing that you can wear with wedges all summer long.
This isn’t the first suit I’ve worn this summer – check out this epic millennial pink suit post here. There is something so simple and satisfying about wearing a suit. Suits are a one-stop shop. Everything matches and getting dressed in the morning is mindless -> my kind of dressing.
Are you a fan of this trend?
Or does it look like I’m walking around North Beach in my pajamas?
If you don’t know where that line comes from you open a new tab, google it and come back over here when you know.
OK. Now that we are all on the same page over here let’s discuss the standout pieces from this look. Yes, together they create the ultimate business special a la “Romy And Michele’s High School Reunion” however they can all easily work into your everyday wardrobe – even when you are not acting as a businesswoman.
The ASOS DESIGN tailored asymmetric blazer is far from your basic blazer. The asymmetric ruffle detail instantly steps up your workwear game and the $87 price tag won’t break the bank.
Are you on the hunt for the perfect black pant for work? Look no further. If you are a fan of Jamie Jeans from Topshop than I am about to blow your mind! The Joni High Waist Skinny Jeans ($65) have everything you love about the Jamie Jeans but they are work appropriate. The pocketless front and cropped length elevate the retro flair of high-waisted skinny jeans and the inky black wash makes them perfect for the office.
Last but not least let’s have a quick chat about these pink shoes. Disclaimer: they are not my shoes. I saw them sticking out of Ashley from Two Peas in a Prada’s bag and may or may not have tried to steal them. The block heel adds just the right amount of height to any look without compromising comfort. Not into a pink shoe? Don’t worry they come in grey, sage and nude.
Am I the only one who doesn’t splurge on summer fashion?
Yes, I love the sun and the beach, but summer styles never really do it for me! Because of that I never really splurge on pieces for my summer wardrobe. Anytime I invest in a pricey bathing suit or cover-up I end up cringing the moment they are covered in sand, sweat, and sunscreen!
So I decided to round-up my favorite budget summer styles today. Each one of these pieces are under $45, easy to style and won’t leave you with buyer’s remorse when the sand, sweat, and sunscreen hits them.
We are smack dab in the middle of summer and if you are anything like me you love to wind down with a little Rosé on a warm summer afternoon, or evening…or all day. So why not throw the ultimate Rosé Party?
And apparently, I am not the only one drinking Rosé this summer. There are over 150,000 Rosé cocktail ideas on Pinterest and searches for rosé cocktails are up over 138%! So with that in mind, I partnered up with the teams at Pinterest and Brit + Co to throw the Ultimate Rosé Party last Friday at the Brit + Co headquarters. We shared 5 simple ways to up your Rosé Party ways – check out the full Facebook live post below.
Love Pinterest as much as I do? Check out my post with Pinterest lens here.
A little behind the scenes action from the Rosé Party with my girl Beth from Brit + Co.
This was by far one of my favorite recipes from the rosé party! Not only are they delicious, they are BEYOND Instagramble!
Step 4: Set overnight (make sure your freezer is set to the lowest setting- Enjoy!
Check out the full Facebook live post from the rosé party above.
And before you comment on my voice YES I am well aware that I have a valley girl accent!
Cherry Frosé + Rosé Lemonade from our Rosé Party.
Post rosé party by the Brit + Co sign and the ‘Summer Rosé Spritzer’
The stunning set up for our Facebook Live Rosé Party!
If I learned one thing from teaming up with both the Pinterest and Brit + Co teams is that the devil is in the details. From blush colored flowers in reclaimed glass vases to edible flowers in the ice cubes + popsicles to adorable striped straws – They are ALL essentials when throwing the ultimate Rosé Party.
And, can we also take a moment to admire this stunning Rosé bottle from Tank Garage Winery? The Stars Like Ours Rosé is summer in a glass. This fresh vintage Rosé is filled with aromas of watermelon, strawberry, rose petals, mint and grapefruit rind. Perfect on its own or as the featured Rosé in our Rosé Ice Cube recipe!
And a little post-Rosé Party cheers in the Brit + Co garden. Our Facebook live was less than 15 minutes long…so I had to stick around to finish off all the cocktails, right?
What was your favorite recipe from the Rosé Party? Let me know in the comments.
I’ve stayed at the Meritage collection of properties in Napa about 25 times over the last few years. From Bottlerock here at the Meritage to Christmas across the street at the Vista Collina these properties have a lot to offer when you are staying in Napa.
The Meritage is a bit of an older property, but it has something to offer for everyone and is very family-friendly (kids pool with a splash pad, bowling alley -> lots of kids activities) and a very kid-friendly menu at all the restaurants.
The Vista Collina is the Meritage’s newer sister property right across the street. I stayed there with my family for Christmas and I would give it a hard 10/10. Everything is new and modern, the staff was AMAZING and you have a ton of wine tasting options right below your hotel room! Yep, you can walk out of the hotel and straight to some of the best tasting rooms in the Napa Valley. No need for an uber or DD -> you don’t need to stay at the Vista Collina to taste (we took advantage of the tasting rooms yesterday).
We all know that I come to Napa often, but there’s a reason that I always end up at this property and it’s the convenience!
Just about an hour away door to door from my house in San Francisco lies the Meritage Resort and Spa in the Napa Valley. Last week I packed bags for both me and Benji and hit the road to Napa with my girl Ashley from Two Peas in a Prada.
The Meritage invited us to spend some time at their stunning property to eat, drink, relax, and participate in their very first Wellness Wednesday.
Each month, Spa Terra at the Meritage Resort will offer a calming 75-minute yoga flow class overlooking the resort’s beautiful vineyards followed by a surprisingly hardy Spa superfoods brunch curated by Chef Ryan Rupp. Once you are fully relaxed and satisfied from brunch there is an option to enhance your afternoon with spa treatments at Spa Terra, offered at a 15% discount (we obviously did), followed by wine tasting in our robes at the Trinitas Cellars tasting room and a little pool time.
