This is the Largest RTR store to date and conveniently located in the heart of union square (two doors down from the big Banana Republic store). If you look up you will find Rent the Runway signage, but it does not have a street entrance. Look for the office building at 228 Grant Street, between Sutter and Post Street and you are there! Head up to the second floor and find more than 8,000 square feet of fashion. The store is two floors, with more than 3,000 pieces of clothing and accessories and more than 20 fitting rooms. Highlights for me included the work and lounge spaces with free WiFI, self-service check-out, and drop-off stations (because I’m always in a rush) and the instant service pick-up window.

I just joined and I’m pretty sure that this is going to be a serious game changer for me.
How it works?
You select 4 styles (either online or at one of the five stores). I have the 4 style membership, but you can upgrade to additional styles. Keep your 4 styles as long as you want and exchange them at any time. Choose from any combination of dresses, clothing, and accessories. RTR Unlimited members have access to just about everything on the site, some exclusions may apply.
When you’re ready for something new, return 1, 2, 3 or all of your items using the prepaid UPS return label provided, and they’ll notify you when it’s time to select your next shipment. While selecting new items, you will also have the option to add Extra Spots to your Unlimited plan…and I pretty much feel like I’m on that path because I want EVERYTHING.
Once you confirm your RTR Unlimited shipment, it will take one business day to process before your order is shipped.
If you have an item at home you really love, you can use an exclusive members-only discount to purchase it for a fraction of the retail price. Once you do, a spot opens up for something new. In addition to the membership items on rotation, you also will have a 25% discount on RTR Reserve rentals.
You can pause your membership or cancel your next auto-renewal anytime.
Now for the answer to the most important question:
What happens if I lose or damage an RTR Unlimited piece?
Because we all know that the chances of me losing or damaging is high.
Your membership fee includes insurance for minor mishaps and general wear and tear.
Significant damage, lost pieces and theft are not covered. In those cases, you will be charged the price to purchase the piece using your members-only discount. In the event that the style is not available to purchase, the charge will be for the full retail price, plus applicable tax.
So it looks like you should be EXTRA careful with you RTR Unlimited pieces! I chose 2 handbags today and as I was checking out they told me that each bag has a dust bag in it and if I lose the dust bag an extra $35 will be billed to my account!

Every Memorial Day Weekend I pack my bags and head up to Napa for BottleRock. BottleRock is probably the only summer music festival where you can watch Morimoto break a world record on the culinary stage for slicing 100 pieces of 3.5 ounces of tuna from a 205-pound fish in 12 minutes and 49 seconds, spend $60 on a bottle of Decoy Rose (multiple times) and snag a selfie with Antoni from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
But the driving force bringing me to Napa year after year is the food and the food at BottleRock Napa 2019 did NOT disappoint…even if it did leave me with an empty wallet.
Spicy tuna handrolls from one of my favorite spots in Napa, Morimoto Napa. I could have easily had 5 of these, but at $14 a pop, only one was in my budget (the other was for a friend)!
This year is the first time Thomas Keller’s Yountville restaurant Ad Hoc has offered a bucket full of its moist yet crispy fried chicken. Finished with a sprinkling of fresh rosemary and salt this was a MAJOR highlight for me at BottleRock…
However, the famed Ad Hoc buttermilk fried chicken was one of the most expensive meals at the festival’s Culinary Garden at $60 a bucket!
