Celebrity style has always been an inspiration for me, so I decided to start including it on the blog. In my twenties, I could wear the highest heel for hours. Dance all night and not EVER think about my shoes!

Now at the ripe old age of 33 comfort is key, right? So I searched high and low for a neutral sandal with a block heel that won’t kill my feet.

Where did my search take me? To the cult favorite Stuart Weitzman NearlyNude Sandal. The classic minimalist sandal was reinvented by shoe god Stuart Weitzman, by way of a bold block heel in luxe Nappa leather. Crafted in Spain from smooth beige leather, this pair has a comfortable block heel and two slim straps to flatter your feet. Wear them with everything from cropped denim to floral dresses (find a ton of style inspiration at the end of this post).

Stuart Weitzman’s NearlyNude sandals are favored among the stylish crowd – everyone from Gigi Hadid to Kate Middleton has been spotted wearing the signature style.

The key to comfort is in buying the NearlyNude sandals in Nappa leather. STAY AWAY FROM THE PATENT LEATHER! The patent is always on sale and not nearly as comfortable. I bought them and promptly returned them.

Worried about the heel? These sandals have the perfect 3″ (80mm) block heel height.

The DVF Maxi Dress – A Favorite From NYFW 2018

I randomly started KatWalkSF in September of 2013. I was sick of my job at Gap, traveling with my best friend and just happened to arrive in the city of lights in time for Paris Fashion Week. My friend had a DSLR camera and was ready to use it. We documented our outfits, the shows and everything I loved about Paris.

A couple of weeks later I was (drunk) at a bar in San Francisco with another friend chatting about all the photos I had from Paris Fashion Week and how I was really thinking about starting a blog. The VERY drunk girl next to me asked me what my name was, I responded with Kat and she told me to take the photos and start KatWalkSF – thanks for the name drunk stranger.

Flash forward to almost five years later and here we are. KatWalkSF has produced a ton of content. Some good and some bad (remember when I had blue hair ?!?)

Despite the many fashion and beauty mistakes, KatWalkSF has come a very long way – so far that this February I found myself at DVF headquarters during NYFW shopping her new collection and picking out THIS dress from the designer herself. I love these images, I adore DVF maxi dress and I could not feel more thankful for the journey this crazy blog has taken me on.
