So this week has been a time of self reflection & extreme boredom.
So it seemed fitting to phone my girl Emily & mix shit up.
Here is my before look. Nothing too ground breaking: golden blonde base and with blonde highlights and real thick (extra long) bangs.
Maybe it was my new pink cast or this awesome photo I found from Vogue Taiwan, but I woke up ready for a change.
Let me just warn anyone who thinks this is an easy and quick process…It is far from it. Especially if you are blessed with extra thick hair like me and also aware of how to straighten your hair naturally. We started at 10 AM and wrapped at nearly 5PM. This is a long and labor intensive process (especially when you are hopping from the station to the sink) and not for the faint of heart.
Step. 1 Balayage full highlights to lighten the ends for the color and foil the top for my go to blonde crown.
Step 2. (No fun pictures, fill my roots and update my base)
Step. 3 Pastel Balayage
Step 4. Shampoo, conditioning treatment (for my poor over processed hair), comb out & blow dry.
I’m obsessed with the final look & it was well worth the 7 hours it took.
Now ladies, you have to call my girl Emily, colorist at Suite Five Salon in San Francisco now! Not only will she hook up your weave, she will console you after a horrible online date, support you during your juice cleanse/fad diet of the week and clear her calendar when you walk (hop) in to the salon and decide that you want change your entire look (this isn’t the first time this has happened).
Emily Simone at Suite Five Salon.
Make an appointment online, you won’t regret it!
