How to Find the Half Moon Bay Superbloom
Looking for the wild mustard super bloom fields in Half Moon Bay that you are seeing all over your Instagram feed? This guide will highlight everything you need to know to visit — legally! No trespassing required! If you’re hoping to visit the wild mustard fields in Half Moon Bay, this guide will share exactly what you need to know! Cost, how to get there, where to park, photo tips, etc — everything! It’s definitely worth the short drive from San Francisco in February and March!
For $10 cash a person, you can head to Iacopi Farms and legally visit the stunning Half Moon Bay Superbloom (all of the money supports local farmers). Iacopi Farms has plenty of walking pathways to go to the middle of the field so that you don’t damage the flowers and respect the space.
Wild mustard plants grow almost everywhere in the Bay Area, you can find them in Napa, Sonoma, and along other roads all over Northern California.
The Half Moon Bay Superbloom usually only lasts a few weeks in February and March, so if you are planning to go, go now!
And if you go wear appropriate shoes! The ground is wet! My photographer wore wellies and I wore my plastic Birkenstock sandals.
