It’s officially Fall according to the calendar and the fashion god’s, but San Francisco always fails to get that memo and brings on the heat the minute everyone is ready to bring out the chunky knits and layered outerwear pieces.
I tried to fight it, but now I am conforming to San Francisco and bringing some of my favorite dresses from Spring + Summer back out with a bit of a twist for Fall. The ‘Taylor’ dress (above) from the local and eco-friendly brand, Amour Vert feels like pajamas, works like spanx and looks super chic. The ‘Taylor’ dress is made of super soft modal fabric and features ruching on the side for the most flattering fit (insert my diet goals in a dress). I threw a striped shirt over my shoulders for this look and a white oxford shoe, for a classic preppy touch.
This peachy pink slip dress was an Amour Vert Sample Sale SCORE, but don’t worry they’ve introduced a ton of nude/rust/blush colors into their fall collection. I layered this slip dress with a cropped military peacoat from Banana Republic and ANCIENT Prada wedges.
Bam! An easy Fall-ish outfit for lunch in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood.
This uber drapey (and tummy flattering) dress from ALLSAINTS is an absolute gem. I borrowed it from a friend in this deep turquoise green color for the San Francisco – Marin Foodbank Gala last weekend, but I couldn’t live without this dress in my wardrobe and managed to snag it in black on Poshmark this morning!
Update: Here it is in black + styled with these ASOS – velvet stretch over the knee boots.
I seriously can not get enough of this All Saints dress. The fluid, draped fabric with adjustable inner ties – allow for a versatile silhouette + hem length.
This dress is a closet staple for sure.
This white sweater dress is an oldie from the Lemaire x Uniqlo collection last year. This boxy sweater dress can be worn solo or layered with a vest, leggings or skinny jeans. I styled it last with a little turquoise jewelry and the ‘Melodi‘ booties from Hush Puppies for a casual brunch in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood.
This flowy floral dress is effortlessly Boho chic and from local San Francisco designer, Ruti.
A day-to-night dress with subtle pleats and a stunning floral design. I’ve paired it with loafers for a daytime look or stylish pumps for an evening out.
The Lucy, Get Going Dress has made its way through my wardrobe over + over again. This lightweight and quick-drying dress is awesome paired with sneakers or boots.
And especially great for any of your traveling needs – #TrustMe. Roll it up in your suitcase and it magically comes out wrinkle free and ready to go.
Do those sidebar ads on Facebook ever get you?
You see a picture of a really cute dress, you click on the link and next thing you know you are on some strange foreign website buying all the cheap dresses?
Well, that is how I snagged this shirt dress for under $20. Yep, I fell for those ads – but unlike some of the horror stories I have read about some of these sites, this dress ended up being awesome and I imagine it can easily be styled with destructed skinny jeans from Fall to Winter.
LOVE all of these looks from you. <3
