Tuesday Shoesday: Winter Sneakers

We are smack dab in the middle of winter and frankly, all I want to wear are leggings and sneakers. I really can’t remember the last time I didn’t wear leggings and sneakers…

Anyways, due to the fact that I am in the midst of a major winter fashion meltdown, I decided to share some of my favorite winter sneakers with you. These are the sneakers that I wear to SoulCycle, to walk Benji and let’s be honest – everywhere else.

Allbirds – Wool Runners – $95

According to the team over at Allbirds these are the world’s most comfortable shoes – and I agree. Made of castor bean oil and New Zealand superfine merino wool, these winter sneakers are environmentally friendly and comfy AF.

The only downfall to sporting a pair of Allbirds is that the tech bro sitting next to you in your Uber pool will most likely be sporting them too. Yep, they are the foundation of the Silicon Valley bro uniform and I get it. They are SO comfy and we all deserve to be comfy! Right?

Vionic – Slip-On Sneakers – $129.95

I’m gonna be REAL honest here. At first sight, these sneakers were NOT my jam. They looked like my old Vans only in pink with cutouts. A PR company sent them to me because a new store was opening in San Francisco, so I decided to give them a shot. I wore them for a couple of hours around SF and my mind was blown. These shoes are beyond comfortable, easy to style and a guess who is a MAJOR fan of them?

OPRAH!!!

Yep, Oprah is a big fan and even included them in her Favorite Things List for 2017.

As Oprah says in the December issues of O, The Oprah Magazine, on newsstands today, “Treat feet to these sneakers designed to hug arches and support natural alignment with an orthotic insert. They’re super comfortable.” 

I love these shoes so much that my greedy ass asked for another pair. So, now I have them in dusty pink and black. Expect to see the black pair on heavy rotation during all my upcoming travels.
