Sneakers are a universal pair of footwear that just works no matter your style or age. But if you’re on the lookout for more current and fresher ways to wear them on your day-to-day hustle and bustle (like me), it’d be wise to peep how the younger generation is doing it.
Well I peeped and at the ripe old age of 34 I don’t think that you are going to find me in Air Force 1 sneakers, but you will find me in my Palestra Alta Platform Sneakers from Italian shoe company M. Gemi. These sneakers are super comfy and ideal for all-day wear. I wore them all over Mexico (without socks) and never saw even a hint of a blister. They’re lightweight, have no-squeak rubber bottoms, and leather that uniquely molds to your foot.
The Palestra Alta—features everything I love about the low-profile version of their famous Palestra Sneaker (sleek, minimal design and less-is-more details), with added height and a raised platform sole for a punch of trending street-style to keep the Gen Z fashionistas happy.
These sneakers have a uniquely cushy, leather insole, there’s no break-in period required—ever.

True to size.
I wear a very true size U.S. 8 -> Italian 38.5

Thanks for the review and discount code! I saved it for when they’re back in stock. I have a question- my feet have gotten wider since WFH during the pandemic. Apparently, I should have been wearing shoes on my hardwood floors.. Will these end up feeling tight in the toe box? I tried a pair of Steve Madden platform in 7 and they felt tight in the toes so I sent them back. I ended up missing out on a pair of these set aside for me bc I didn’t have the others yet. I put a 38 on notification for me, which seems to be a 7.5 so half size up. Thank you 🙏
