Spring 2018 Basics
Yes Yes Yes – I know, this outfit is not what I would normally call basic, but it does include two pieces that I think belong in everyone’s wardrobe this spring: a suede shoe and a statement bag.
Suede Shoe
The shoes from this look are from Anthro and are a MUST if you are on the hunt for a spring shoe or shootie as they are calling them over on the Anthropologie site. These bohemian-inspired shooties easily elevate a pair of white denim, a maxi skirt or jumpsuit. I wore them last weekend in Santa Barbara in the rain and they still look brand new. They are comfy and cute and I’m quickly finding that they literally go with everything. Other suede shoes on my spring shopping list: rose colored suede mules and my favorite day heels in blue suede.
Statement Bag
The Brahmin Lane bag has been my go-to bag from New York to Paris to Santa Barbara. It is the perfect size for a night out or travel essentials has a crossbody strap. The circle statement bag trend is carrying over into spring and I am saving (big time) for this one.
