Target Does It Again – This Time with a $35 Dress!

Yep, you read that right. This uber-trendy LBD is from Target. This $35 dream of a dress is 100% cotton and surely will be seen in my wardrobe this season.

The flowing, feminine shape is the perfect transitional dress. It’s constructed with elbow-length sleeves and an above-the-knee hem that looks equally cute with booties, sneakers, and sandals. Ruched detailing at the neck and seams adds a dose of charm. Constructed from a fluid woven fabric and softly structured with flattering volume. Get this dress ASAP before it sells out!

The sneakers are NOT from Target but they are from our local and independently owned Superga San Francisco store. These trendy shoes sport the perfect wedge (complimenting the Target LDB) and are oh-so comfortable – even walking around San Francisco!

And if you are ever on Fillmore Street, do me a favor and stop by the Superga San Francisco store and use my 20% off discount: KatWalk20.

The Banana Republic Leopard Print I Can’t Stop Wearing

40% off your purchase at Banana Republic

I recently read that a new styling rule was to treat animal prints as your new neutrals by adding them to your everyday outfits alongside color-block sweaters and classic trench coats. However, this rule is not new to me – leopard has always been neutral in my book! I live for a good leopard print and this season Banana Republic killed it with the perfect leopard print. The perfect balance of colors in some of my favorite silhouettes (wide-leg pants).

The second rule was to mix and match – the most modern way to wear animal prints is to clash them. I haven’t tried this trend yet, but I would love to take this look to the next level by swapping out my leather jacket for this AMAZING zebra print jacket from the H&M Studio Collection.

What do you think of these styling rules? Are you ready to treat leopard as a neutral? Clashing animal prints in your future?

Let me know in the comments.

What I Ate: Shake Shack Marin

Custard Concretes, Crinkle Cut Fries and Burgers from the Shake Shack Marin

The wait is over! Shake Shack at Marin Country Mart in Larkspur is open!

and if you are anything like me you are ready to grub on a ShackBurger and come crispy crinkle cut fries. I hit up Shake Shack Marin this week and the drive from San Francisco to Larkspur is short and well worth it to get your Shake Shack fix.

In addition to their classic menu, Shake Shack has created a unique selection of menu items exclusive to Marin including the Bay Area-exclusive Golden State Double, a Richards Grassfed Beef double cheddar cheeseburger topped with pickles and smoked garlic aioli (center burger in the top photo).
For dessert, Shake Shack will be spinning frozen custard concretes in collaboration with local purveyors Pie Dreams and Dandelion Chocolate. They were already sold out of the chocolate option when I was there, but I got down with the Pie Dreams concrete.

Want to get tipsy at Shake Shack Marin?

Good news! You can wash down your burgers with local brews from Fort Point Beer Company, 21st Amendment Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing Company and North Coast Brewing Co. plus Shake Shack’s exclusive Brooklyn Brewery ShackMeister® Ale. Wine lovers can enjoy a glass of Shack Red and Shack White wine from the Gotham Project as well as a local wine list highlighting producers such as Broc Cellars, Hunt & Harvest, BREA Wine Company and Robert Sinskey Vineyards

How do you get there?

I drove and it took less than 20 minutes to get there on a Tuesday afternoon. There is plenty of parking in the Marin Country Mart. I seem to always find parking near the SoulCycle. No car, no problem. Jump on the ferry to Larkspur, cross the street and you are at Shake Shack Marin.

What to order:

Start with a ShackBurger (especially if it is your first visit), crinkle cut fries, Chick’n Bites, and a concrete. Round two go for a Chick’n Shack and cheese fries.San Francisco blogger KatWalkSF visits the newly opened Shake Shack Marin.
