5 Beauty Finds I’m Shopping During the Nordstrom Fall Savings Event
The Nordstrom Fall Savings Event is officially here, which means I have a perfectly reasonable excuse to refresh my beauty routine. I went through the sale and narrowed it down to five beauty finds actually worth adding to your cart.
I love a sale. I love Nordstrom. I especially love a Nordstrom sale where I can convince myself that buying five new beauty products is actually a financially responsible decision.
Girl math, but make it beauty.
And apparently, I am entering my fall self-care era because this list has everything: better hair, glowy skin, fancy body wash, and makeup that promises to blur the evidence of whatever happened the night before.
Basically, we are fixing everything from the neck up and smelling expensive while we do it.

1. Living Proof Perfect hair Day™ Sheer Clean Dry Shampoo
Let’s begin with something extremely practical because I am nothing if not practical when there is a sale involved.

More specifically, the Living Proof Perfect hair Day Sheer Clean Dry Shampoo.
I am always looking for ways to extend a blowout because washing, drying, and styling my hair every single day is not on my fall agenda. I have places to go. I have outfits to plan. I have iced coffee to drink. I cannot spend my entire life washing my hair.
What caught my attention about this Living Proof version is that it isn’t supposed to just dump a bunch of powder onto your roots and hope for the best. It uses a micellar-powered cleansing system designed to break down and absorb oil while leaving hair feeling clean and weightless.

This isn’t just a traditional moisturizer.

I am obsessed with the idea of an elaborate skincare routine. In reality, if you tell me something needs to stay on my face for 45 minutes while I sit completely still, there is a very good chance I am not doing it.

The cooling aspect also sounds especially good after a long day or before getting ready for an event. I want the GLOW!
I want the pores to look like they have left the building.

Can body wash be sexy?
I vote yes.
The GOOP Black Pepper + Ginger Grounding Body Wash is probably the product on this list that feels the most like fall to me.
The scent combines black pepper, ginger, cedarwood and patchouli, which sounds like exactly what I want my bathroom to smell like when the weather finally starts cooling down.
Warm. Spicy. Expensive.
Like a very chic hotel where someone else is paying the bill.
The formula uses plant-based surfactants to cleanse and also contains aloe and green tea extract to help leave skin feeling soft instead of stripped.
I am very into turning completely normal parts of my day into unnecessarily luxurious experiences. Showering is happening regardless, so why shouldn’t the body wash make me feel like I’m staying at a $1,200-a-night wellness resort?
Exactly.
There are some beauty purchases that require a tutorial, three brushes and a degree in cosmetic chemistry. This is not one of them.

Finally, we need makeup.
And if you tell me something is going to blur my skin, you have my attention.

This is important because I want my makeup set.
I do not want my face to look “set.”
There is a difference.
I have zero interest in putting on makeup only to finish everything with enough powder to make myself look like an 18th-century aristocrat.
