Fall Forward

IMG_6685

IMG_6684I’ve decided to really mix things up this fall + instead of falling back, I’m falling forward.

IMG_0890My hair is blue (please excuse the Nesquik bunny), I have a new job passion project + I have almost completely revamped my wardrobe (thanks to Poshmark).

Last week I walked into my hair salon for a root touchup + walked out with a royal blue weave. At the time I thought this was a genius idea, but shortly after I learned that this was a major CHANGE + that everything from my makeup to my eyebrows needed an update. Thanks to YouTube, Evora + a couple of pep talks from Caity I think I have got this blue weave under control.

Now let’s talk denim. Since 1969 2002 I wore nothing but Gap jeans. Levi’s was a curse word + Always Skinny jeans were essentially my uniform. As a Gap employee I knew that Gap denim needed 30-45 minutes on to stretch + fit. This meant that I had to lay down onto my bed to zip them up + then walk around my apartment while doing lunges to achieve the perfect the fit. So…when East & Lo asked for me to try their new denim collection with Flying Monkey I was game. One of my favorite benefits of the Flying Money denim is the fact that you don’t have to spend years breaking them in. They slipped right on, no lunges needed. Their description was spot on + the skinny leg opening tucked perfectly into my boots.
