Made in California

Rust Eagle Dress by Les Mechantes

First things first, if you follow me on instagram then you know that these pictures are old + I am sporting a new royal blue weave…but we will discuss that tomorrow.

These pictures are from a recent trip to Los Angeles with my family. When I was editing these pictures I started to think about just where this outfit came from + nearly everything I am wearing was made in my home state, California. While styling an outfit with local fashion will cost you more, the positive benefits are endless.

I was born in Santa Barbara and after several moves up + down the cost I have settled in San Francisco. While my love for all things SF Made (insert shameless plug for Les Méchantes) is strong, I am pleased to report that apparel is being manufactured all over the United States, not just in California and these days we can all shop local in some capacity.

  3. Such beautiful photos, Kat! I am totally getting used to this lovely platinum blonde hair, but I can not wait to see the royal blue! PS I am sorry I am missing the long-awaited Les Méchantes party this week, but I am out of town 🙁 Miss you!

  4. You are the perfect model for Les Mechantes Kat! Pretty and mischievous, especially with the change of hair color. I am looking forward to seeing more of your outfits featuring items from your shop. 😉
