What exactly is bouclé?
Bouclé is both a yarn + a fabric made from it. The yarn is made from a length of loops of similar size which can range from tiny circlets to large curls. Bouclé is also the name of the fabric made from this type of yarn, especially fabric that maintains the looped appearance.
Now, no two boucle designs look exactly alike. This happens because many designers choose to mix more than one color of yarn to create a multicolor boucle jacket, adding a colorful or tweed appearance.
While this jacket is NOT Chanel, Coco Chanel made bouclé famous + it still serves as a classic fabric for the design house.
Will you be wearing bouclé this season or do you prefer the look without the jacket?
