Beauty: My Four Holy Grail Hair Products (splurge-worthy edition)

Beauty Blogger KatWalkSF shares her four holy grail hair products - Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

My Four Holy Grail Hair Products (splurge-worthy edition) :

Before we dig deep into this post I want to quickly acknowledge the fact this is 100% a splurge-worthy edition beauty post. All of these products are pricey and were purchased with my own dollars (minus the Dyson).

I decided to put together this post because I honestly love each of these products and have created a pretty seamless hair routine because of them. I have done a lot of awful things to my hair over the past couple of years and am finally in a place where I have long healthy bleached blonde hair – and I owe it all to these products.

Now let’s talk pricepoint and sticker shock. Yes, I am well aware that these products are pricey but I have found a way to purchase them with a bit of a discount (sometimes). The majority of these products are sold at major department stores and while we all know that they RARELY go on sale each store has a beauty sale at least once a year – and that is 100% the best time to stock up!

Take advantage of the Sephora Beauty Insider sale (up to 15% off), The Nordstrom Half Yearly and Anniversary sales (select beauty deals and sales) and I have honestly had the best luck buying these products on sale from Bloomingdales. I most recently scored 3 out of the 4 products during a spend $100 get $25 off beauty sale at Bloomingdales!

So now that we have accepted the (crazy) prices of these products let chat about just why they are my top four holy grail hair products.

Dyson, Supersonic Hair Dryer $399

If I could marry a hair dryer I would marry the Dyson Supersonic. I COULD NOT LOVE this bad boy more. It has completely transformed my (severely damaged) blonde hair. The high-velocity airflow allows for ultra-fast drying while helping to prevent heat damage and protects your hair’s natural shine, making it my top holy grail hair product – check out my full blog post on the Dyson here.

OUAI, Memory Mist $28

My love for Jen Atkin and her hair care products is REAL (minus the Dry Shampoo Foam – don’t buy). The Memory Mist is my latest OUAI find and the key to a perfect longlasting blowout. The lightweight spray memorizes your hair’s shape and texture and holds it that way until your next shampoo – WOW! Yes, the $28 price tag is aggressive but there really isn’t anything like the Memory Mist on the market.

Oribe, Dry Texturizing Spray $46

The price of this product is OUT OF CONTROL… yet I keep on coming back for more. $46 for a texturizing spray that smells so good they created a perfume out of the scent is INSANE but totally worth it all at once. This multitasking spray is the ultimate quick-fix product. Part dry shampoo, part texturizer, its unique formula soaks up the oils in your hair and gives your coif an instant dose of altitude.

Oribe, Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil $55

This luxuriously light oil from Oribe absorbs instantly to restore hair to its prime. I put this oil on the ends of my hair every night before I go to bed (after any face products) and have almost completely put an end to dry, damaged split ends. This hair oil works wonders and I am fairly certain that I have tried every oil on the market!

Now I’m curious as to what your holy grail hair products are. Let me know in the comments.

  1. I think I might like to try the texturizing spray. My hair could use a bit of a pick me up.

  2. I need to try this hair dryer! It’s cold where I live and I can’t go to bed with my hair wet!

  3. This was a wonderful list! I love you incorporated the prices. That hair dryer sounds super nice. Maybe Ill get myself it for mothers day! Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  4. Nothing was too crazy expensive (well maybe the oil) but my philosophy is you get what you pay for.

  5. My friend has one of the Dyson hair dryers, which she received as a birthday present. I know this is a splurge worthy post of products, but I just couldn’t justify spending that much on a hair dryer ? x

    • I totally understand. It is a splurge, but also a serious game changer if you have damaged hair (like me).

  6. I really have heard such wonderful things about the dryer but I haven’t tried it yet, the cost freaks me out!

  7. Ok the Dyson is probably about the coolest hair dryer out there. I usually avoid blow drying my hair too much but it sounds like you don’t have to with this tool.
