After the trip of a lifetime to Ixtapa, Mexico with the girls (more looks to come), I kept the vacation mentality going and hopped in the car with Ash and DLo to Big Sur. The drive was so quick and easy from San Francisco and after a quick stop at A. W. Shucks in Carmel for oysters, we were in Big Sur in nearly two hours flat.
We called the Ventana Inn home for one glorious night. This hotel is nestled along a hill overlooking the glorious Pacific Ocean. The decor in our room was literally to die for, along with the most amazing panoramic scenic views from our very own deck. Even though my bum ankle stopped me from taking advantage of the guided hikes, yoga and the Japanese baths provided by the hotel, I did take a time out alone to enjoy the hammock!
